She Hates Pictures

I know that a session with me isn’t about the pictures. Well… it isn’t ALL about the pictures. I’m well aware of that. And it’s actually the motto I built my business on. On purpose.

Photography is great. And it’s also not the reason I do what I do. Photography is just the first thing that really stuck as a medium to have conversations around healing self image. I promise you’re going to get AMAZING photographs when you work with me.

But I also promise that what you’re going to get out of this experience FAR exceeds the pretty pictures.

Even knowing that, it always makes me giggle when clients walk in the studio and tell me that they hate photographs of themselves. Because we both know we’re in the studio to do just that.

It also lets me know that I really am attracting the kinds of people I really want to work with. The girls that get it, ya know? Yes, it’s beautiful, timeless photography. But it’s also getting to see yourself. Truly see yourself. Being forced (yeah, I’m kinda bossy) into saying kind things about yourself. Surrounding yourself with someone who is committed to seeing your best. And making sure that by the end of the day, YOU are that person that’s committed to seeing your best.

She hates being in pictures. And she absolutely freaking KILLED it.
